This fast-growing strain of Shiitake is our favorite mushroom here on the farm. Once you activate your Shiitake mushroom grow kit, the first harvest will begin growing and will form big beautiful mushrooms over 10 to 14 days.  Our Shiitake blocks produce 1-2 crops. Experience the joy and wonder of watching beautiful mushrooms grow before your eyes and then eating them!

The mushrooms are easily grown indoors at temperatures averaging 60-70ºF. They prefer indirect light and require a daily misting to maintain humidity. Our Shiitake mushroom grow kits are 100% Certified Organic blocks of enriched hardwood sawdust that is fully colonized by mycelium from our favorite hardy strain of Shiitake.

Each mushroom grow kit comes complete with care instructions and recipes!

Wonderful Healthy Crop

I had heard growing shiitakes was not a good match for beginners. Not really a beginner but I can say these are super healthy growing mushrooms spores. I harvested some this morning, sautéed with sautéed onions and turmeric spice and served in a Tilamook Extra Sharp Cheddar, Shiitake Omelet. Wow! The best omelet I have ever had! Took pictures on my crop but don’t see how to share them. Trust me. They are lovely!

Fabulous!

We had so much fun setting this up and watching them grow, and we are thrilled with the harvest. We're excited to try for a second flush! We ended up using a little mini-greenhouse and it worked great. Thanks for making it so easy!

I love Shiitakes!

Shiitake mushrooms have always been one of my favorites! These were easy to grow and are delicious! I am going to try some of the different recipes on your website, I can’t wait!
